A proprietary steel developed for exclusive use by Dalstrong and StudioForge, BD1N-VX™ is a nitrogen based, professional grade steel.

Ultra-premium.

Vacuum melted to form a much purer fine-grain steel with drastically fewer impurities than traditional knife blades, BD1N-VX™ sharpens to a surgical edge, and is virtually immune to corrosion.

High-tech engineering.

With a texture reminiscent of Kevlar and incredible toughness, G10 was the only choice for the handle.

Military-Spec Material.

Used in military and aerospace applications because it’s borderline indestructible, G10, also known as Garolite, is a fiberglass and resin-based composite that’s impervious to moisture, and highly-resistant to extreme temperatures.

Painstakingly constructed.

The handle was compression molded as 5 different pieces, then meticulously assembled and carved with diamond-tipped tools to make sure every tiny detail is as precise and exact as possible.

Locked in for life.

Triple rivets keep the full tang steel, a single piece from blade tip to end cap, where it belongs for the long haul.

Of course it comes in black.

It just had to. A micro-thin layer of black Titanium Nitride radically boosts the blade’s durability, making it virtually immune to corrosion and rust even after years.

If you choose to put your knife to work in the kitchen, this coating also helps create a silky smooth slicing experience by greatly reducing friction and food-stick.

Unlike the classic chef knife, the Gotham City Edge™ doesn’t follow tradition with a bulky bolster. It flows directly from handle to blade to create a more engaging grip in your hand.
